Meet Me

Welcome to my Home Studio - "Victorian Creations"

I've lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada since 1985.  It's the home of the World Famous Calgary Stampede and Spruce Meadows Equine Stables. I live in my Victorian-style home where I have a Studio with Duffy, a red Cocker Spaniel who's now a 'good boy'. Charlotte, a grey Persian cat who came to live in the house in 2002. Charlotte, after three weeks was in love with Duffy and grooms him when he sleeps.

I've been creating a variety of things since I was 4 years old, thanks to my wonderful Grandmother who taught me patience, creativity and diligence with whatever project I was working on.  I did some Oil Painting for several years, then moved to Decorative Painting.  I've have a strong interest in Fabric painting as well. Lately, I've been dabbling in Oil Paints again painting Portraits, Animals, Florals, etc.  My heart and soul seems to radiate toward Old World, Art Renewal and Victorian styles, but I do paint a variety of styles by contract.

I'm the Canadian Coordinator for the Memory Box Artist Program where Artists across Canada provide free hand-painted Memory Boxes for infant death and stillborn babies to Hospitals across Canada to be given to families who have suffered the loss of a child. I'm constantly looking for Artists to paint for Hospitals in their Province.  As well, I paint Free Memory Boxes for the Calgary Police Service Officer's K-9 dogs to aid in memorializing these beautiful animals when they die of natural causes or in the line of Duty. You can view some of the projects under the Memory Box Link.

Decorative Art has been a successful adventure for me in that I've won 28 Ribbons entering Shows in Calgary and Las Vegas.  I hope you'll visit my Gallery to view my painting.  Please visit to view and purchase world-renowned Australian Artist, John Hagans' CD Art Lessons under the link “Art Lessons” and links to his websites to view his marvellous paintings are under the link “Art of John Hagan”.  Items for sale are under the link “Artfully Crafted”.

Thank you for dropping by and I invite you to return again. In the meantime,

Paint with Love, Janet (MOG) Devlin
